my creative space (with a fabric stash confession)
i am always amazed at the beautiful, neat and organised fabric stashes there are out there. (which are often showcased as part of kirsty's wonderful creative space meme).
as i've mentioned, my creative space tends not to be as neat as other peoples'. but so far i have avoided talking about my fabric stash. its also not so neat. particularly like this week, when i was fossiking through to look for some fabric for one of this week's projects.
in my defense, my fabric stash actually lives in the big plastic box, and usually i am able to squash the lid on...

Ha ha! I love it... mine lives sprawled over the 'spare' lounge, over the dinning table and sometimes... the floor-- that depends on how desperate I am to find something-- and fits of scrap seeking excitement are never followed by fits of scrap tidying excitement!
I think messy is best!
I SO know where you're coming from...!
I can relate. Mine no longer fits in a plastic tub (or even 3) and is piled around the study, the bedroom, the kitchen...I don't post pics of the stash! But my messy messy creative space is posted on my blog today if you want to make yourself feel better!
Looks familiar...I have a stash like that on my dining room table currently..Haha.. Love it!
My whole house looks like your stash. Unfortuantly there is no large lid to squash it all in. Oh, maybe that's the roof! Keep making in the chaos! xo
Classic! I can soooo relate!
Oh wow... in one box? and you can fit the lid on?? I am so envious! There's no way my stash could look as messy as it does if I could do that ;) I think I'd splash it everywhere just because I could! Lovely stash :) K
I've got myself a few of those stuff em in boxes... ;)
i think it looks quite civilised, you should have seen mine last week. i had to tidy it after we lost one of our kids in the mess
Oh yeah I have all my scraps in a few filing cabinet drawers and the rest is piled onto shelves until it all falls down into a heap. i have never photographed my real creative space, I am too embarassed, I just take photos of projects and hope noone notices.
It looks like fun, not chaos! Thanks for showing us! (and for your comments too :o) x
I'm with Beck, I am using the roof of the house as a lid on my stash! My stash is residing in four rooms of the house (and its driving Mr HB spare).
I tried to organise my stash first thing on Monday ( after a huge weekend ) and it still doesn't fit in the plastic box!!
