I've been making these booties for awhile now, they are so so easy! I love them, they have been lovely gifts to warm the feet of a number of friend's new bubs. But this is my first attempt at stripes - and I am really happy with how they turned out. Although sewing in all the end was very tedious!
My second project is this:

I'm half way through sewing the strips together. Then I have to do the ends - why oh why did I not sew in my ends as I went! Will I ever learn?
Oh that blanket is AWESOME!!! Love love the colours you've used. Truly beautiful.
ReplyDelete...looking forward to catching up on all your news.
oh boy, i think the internet ate my comment. i'll try again (if it's a duplicate, sorry!)
ReplyDeletewhat i was saying was that it's those fiddly little finishing touches that take a project from enjoyable to slightly maddening ;) but it will be worth it! lovely booties, and the blanket looks cozy already.
thanks ana - they really do make the end of a project a bit maddening! but, I do have to remind myself it will be worth it in the end.
ReplyDeleteand thanks - now if only I had time to get the booties to the little newborn feet they are to go on! Of for a few quiet days!
